MEET MIA
I’m Mia, a design genie, interaction designer, UX master, innovator, and strategist.
As a UX Designer at TVNZ in New Zealand, I was instrumental to the creation and transformation of many digital experiences, such as the TVNZ+ app, TVNZ+ sport hub and 1News platform. My designs led to higher user engagement, as well as enhanced visual design, navigational ease, and revamped brand strategy. I am passionate about creating human-centered designs that optimize the way in which users interact with technology.

Furthermore, my freelance experience designing over two thousand websites for startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs worldwide demonstrates my ability to be self-driven, proactive, adaptable, and prolifically creative. I consistently demonstrated exceptional communication skills in working with a wide variety of people, interfaces, and industries. I earned thousands of rave reviews from clients, and maintained stellar relationships with high-performance sites.
I'm an MFA Interaction Design alumna from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Studio Art from Principia College.

Web design, UX design, brand strategy, and interactive art! Offering energy bodywork sessions from my private studio as well infused with angelic reiki, sound, aroma, color healing. Manifesting and creating a "maker's space" passion project that empowers artists in multipurpose studio spaces. I'm also a proud cat mum to Mya, a magical jaguar with golden eyes.
​I began building websites while living in Manantiales, a little seaside town in Uruguay, South America. From there, I catapulted into Manhattan jungles, while pursuing my MFA in Interaction Design at SVA, School of Visual Arts. Most recently, I lived in New Zealand several years, meeting many special connections and profoundly expanding my spiritual journey. I'm a trained Angelic Reiki master with Alice Conway in Wellington and certified Shamanic StarSound faciliator with Raka'iel Webb in Hawai'i.
A creative incubator, the maker's space experience is a curated soulful journey of the senses, flowing from immersive craft studios to a comfy vinyl listening zone, painting area, meditation sanctuary, dance floor, library, and healing room.
