I designed my first website in 2015 when teaching English at bilingual schools in South America.
I saw firsthand how curriculums prioritized vocabulary and grammar without experiential comprehension and immersion. I was also learning Spanish and experiencing how practical conversations in genuine environments develop language fluency. My idea was to create an intensive language program within academic spaces and private homes that recreates real-world scenarios and inspires confidence. I started to design a website mapping my ideas and refining services. Web design was a tool to launch a passion and anchor expansive potential ways to empower people.
MiaDarling.com was born and ever since I've been cultivating steadfast clientele foundations in freelance arenas and building thousands of websites, brands, promotional collaterals for small businesses of many industries around the world. In 2017 I returned to the states and in 2019, I graduated from SVA with an MFA in Interaction Design in New York. From 2020-2024, I lived in New Zealand and designed for TVNZ+ and 1News.

Currently, I reside in St. Louis with family regrounding from travels abroad and maintaining my freelance design work, while actively pursuing my career in UX.
